Meet the Organizing Board
The Utah Wild is organized by six board members who were brought together by their love for ultimate and the goal to elevate the Rocky Mountain Ultimate Community to a professional level.
Erica is a proud native of Minnesota where, after giving up basketball, she learned to throw a disc. She started playing ultimate seriously in college at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. In the fall of 2018 after five years with the Fighting Gobies (captaining for two years), a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and an MS in Materials Science Engineering, she made her way out west to Utah. She spent her college summers at Camp Menogyn guiding hiking, climbing, and primarily canoeing trips throughout northern Minnesota and Canada, all the way up to the Arctic Ocean! Thus her first summer in Utah she got to play her first club season with Utah Elevate. When she’s not thinking about frisbee, you can find her talking to her cat, Phoebe, or siblings, Ava, Sylvie, and Evan.
Emily started her athletic career on the soccer field, playing soccer in college for the (NCAA Division III) CMS Athenas in Southern California. After moving to NYC to pursue her M.S. in Data Science, Emily was drawn to ultimate by the strong sense of community she found playing in Manhattan. Though she currently lives in San Francisco to pursue her career as a data engineer, having been born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah will always be her home, making the Utah Wild her hometown team. When she is not enjoying the pure joy of beach ultimate tournaments, Emily enjoys long distance hiking, having hiked the Pacific Crest Trail in 2017 and the Uinta Highline Trail in 2019.
Jenni “Duck” Ladutko
Jenni started her Ultimate career in high school gym class and at her small town pickup. When she got to college she quickly made the transition from soccer to Ultimate playing with the Northeastern Valkyries from 2010-2014. After 4.5 years playing with the Valks, two college nationals appearances, and playing for the Boston Lions (and Boston Siege for a hot sec), she moved to Utah to complete her residency in clinical pharmacy at the Salt Lake City VA Hospital. In Utah she acquired her frisbee nickname “Duck,” played for Utah Elevate for 5 years, captained for 2 years, and is an assistant coach for Spiral Jetty (University of Utah college team). Having also served on the UUDA board she was pivotal in growing and bringing large tournaments including Ski Town Classic, Select Flight Invite, and Club Regionals to Utah. Outside of Ultimate Jenni likes to travel, hike, road bike, and cook. Despite her nickname, her spirit animal is actually a 10yr old Golden retriever.
After growing up on the beautiful waters of Lake George, NY, Mack attended the University of Delaware from 2012-2018 and graduated with her BS in Health Behavior Science and MS in Health Promotion. It was here that she was introduced and found a love for Ultimate Frisbee, playing with Sideshow for 5 years. During this time, she was elected as a captain for 2 years, and made a college nationals appearance in 2018. While living in Delaware, Mack also played for the women’s club team in Philadelphia, Green Means Go, where they made it to club nationals in 2017. After graduation, Mack moved from the east coast to Salt Lake City, UT. She immediately joined the women’s club team, Elevate, and has played with them for 2 summers. Aside from playing Frisbee, Mack loves to hike in the mountains, ski fast, cook up new recipes, eat ice cream, and spend time with her wonderful friends!
Leah grew up in Salt Lake City and is currently getting her Masters in Public Administration. After ten years of lacrosse, three in college, Leah started playing for Spiral Jetty at the University of Utah. She played two semester for SJU before finishing undergrad and has played three seasons with Utah Elevate. Leah has also served on the Utah Ultimate Disc Association Board. Besides ultimate, Leah enjoys spending time outdoors and hanging out with her cat Luna.
Originally from Pasadena, CA, Brooke now lives in Salt Lake City, UT studying solar farms as a Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Utah. She got hooked on ultimate during her second year of undergrad with Northwestern Gungho in Evanston, IL. After graduation and three college nationals appearances, a design engineering job brought her to Florida and North Carolina, where she played with Tabby Rosa and Phoenix. After moving out west for grad school, family, and the mountains, she played with and captained Utah Elevate for two years. When she’s not playing ultimate, she enjoys bike-commuting and spending time outside like most other Utahns, hiking, backpacking, camping, climbing, and snowboarding.
